The SNAP-SCM-232 provides two RS-232 serial communication ports for two channels of high-speed, isolated serial data. Used with a SNAP PAC brain or R-series controller, the module connects serial devices such as printers, scales, chart recorders, and barcode systems to an Ethernet network for control, monitoring, or data acquisition. The SNAP-SCM-232 can also be used with a legacy SNAP Ultimate, SNAP Ethernet, or SNAP Simple brain.

The SNAP-SCM-485-422 provides two 2-wire RS-485 serial communication ports for two channels of high-speed, isolated serial data, or one 4-wire serial communication port for a single channel. Used with a SNAP-PAC brain or R-series controller, the module connects serial devices such as printers, scales, chart recorders, and barcode systems to an Ethernet network for control, monitoring, or data acquisition. The SNAP-SCM-485-422 is also compatible with SNAP Ethernet, SNAP Simple, and SNAP Ultimate brains.

2-Channel Serial Synchronoous Interface2-Channel Serial Synchronoous Interface Ref: SNAP-SCM-SSI

The SNAP-SCM-SSI module provides two individually isolated serial synchronous interface (SSI) inputs for acquiring data from linear or rotary transducers used in motion control.

The module can decode both binary and Gray Code, and is software configurable to set clock speed, frame length, delay time between data samples, and other parameters.
